The Minute Men Select Workers’ Compensation Program FAQ’s
1. Are they still my employees?
Yes, we are co-employers for the purposes of Workers’ Compensation.
2. How do I file claims?
Once the contracts are filled out and submitted, you will be contacted by our Risk Management Department and a service representative will make an appointment to go over the claims procedures.
3. What happens to my policy number?
Your policy number will remain active. There is a $50.00 per half minimum charge that we will pay on your behalf. It is critical that you keep your policy active even though there will be no payroll reported on it or premiums paid.
4. What happens to my old claims?
Our Risk Management Staff will manage your old claims in case you wish to come out of this program. Your experience period continues to move forward, however. The longer you stay in Minute Men Select, the cleaner your policy experience becomes.
5. What happens if I decide to leave?
It’s as easy as the flip of a switch. We just begin reporting your payroll to the BWC using your policy’s rates. It will be critical to keep policies enrolled in group if they are eligible in the event you decide to come out of the Minute Men Select program. Your Regional Manager will help you do that.
6. When do I start reporting injuries to Minute Men Select?
We begin filing claims under our policy as soon as your coverage starts. You’ll have a Risk Management Representative and Regional Manager who can answer all your questions.
Questions? Please call Minute Men at (216) 426-2274 x. 146 or (800) 541-8145 to be directed to a risk manager.
