Code of Ethics

PREAMBLE: Professional Remodelers of Ohio (PRO) is a nonprofit trade association that strives to professionalize Ohio's remodeling and construction industry by encouraging members to observe the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and responsibility while conducting business in this industry as well as all related industries.

Upon becoming a member of Professional Remodelers of Ohio that company and its employees agree to adhere to the following practices:

• Promoting only those products and services that are compliant with recognized industry standards, amenable with applicable federal, state and local rules and regulations, and compatible with recognized standards of public health and safety.
  
  
• All advertising, sales promotions and selling techniques shall be factually accurate and free from any and all language that may misrepresent, mislead or deceive a consumer regarding products, services or activities being provided by the member-company, remaining consistent with all federal, state and local rules and regulations.
  
  
• All contracts and warranties shall be drafted in a manner that is fair and mutually beneficial to all parties concerned, such that they are free of ambiguities and/or omissions that tend to either obscure contractual obligations and/or has the capacity to mislead, misrepresent or deceive the consumer as to the quality or nature of the products, services or activities being provided by the member-company.
  
  
• All contractual obligations shall be fulfilled in a timely manner that is in accordance with all federal, state and local rules and regulations.
  
  
• All consumer complaints shall be promptly acknowledged and acted upon. All member-companies shall make a good faith effort to resolve any complaint within PRO's purview in an ethically and timely manner.
  
  
• All business practices shall foster and encourage fair trade and ethical competition within the established federal, state and local rules and regulations.
  
  
• All member-companies must meet PRO's established membership requirements in order to remain a company in good standing, including maintaining the required General Liability Insurance, Worker's Compensation Insurance, and to abide by PRO's Bylaws.
